Nottingham-based theatre company Zoo Indigo are touring a show they first performed at Hatch: Undercover in January 2009. A work-in-progress was presented at the acclaimed Forest Fringe in Edinburgh in August and the full-length show premiered in Nottingham in November 2009. Hatch is very proud to have supported a show that is now up and running. For a review of the show by Nottingham writer Jon McGregor please go here.
Under the Covers is a unique, interactive media performance where the spectators become virtual babysitters of two real-life infants via skype. We couldn’t get a babysitter tonight so we had to bring our babies with us. Please could you keep an eye on them so we can get on with the show? Two young mothers struggle to stay glamorous as they step from glad rags to nappy bags. Two female performers try to escape their digital doppelgangers. Two flat pack daddies don’t know what to do. Combining baby maintenance with baby monitors, Zoo Indigo teach, tease and confide in their audience with there theres and now nows. Under the Covers presents Zoo Indigo’s trademark brand of autobiography, cut up text and cutting edge technology. For more information go to www.zooindigo.co.uk.
